Building the Digital Presence of Sonnewaldstatt (Family Business)

One of my most significant marketing experiences comes from Sonnewaldstatt, my family’s business, where I played a key role in brand development, social media strategy, and digital marketing. This hands-on experience taught me how to grow a brand from the ground up, engage with audiences authentically, and create content that reflects a company’s values.

 

My Role & Responsibilities:

Projectmanagement Website Optimization for The M Story

Role: Project Manager
Institution: Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW)
Objective: Improve the digital presence of "The M Story," an NGO supporting women and children in Guatemala, by optimizing its website for better communication, user experience, and visibility.

Responsibilities & Key Contributions:

Website Restructuring – Developed a clearer site navigation and layout to enhance accessibility and engagement.
SEO Optimization – Integrated relevant keywords to improve search engine ranking and visibility.
Content Strategy – Proposed an FAQ section to address common questions and improve user interaction.
Interactive Features – Recommended donation buttons and interactive project maps to increase user engagement.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Worked closely with NGO founder Michelle Sutter to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission.
Project Management – Led a team, coordinated tasks using Agile methods, and ensured timely delivery of key milestones.

 

Outcome:

🔹 Created a structured website optimization plan with clear steps for implementation.
🔹 Strengthened the NGO’s online presence, making it more user-friendly and impactful.


Press & Media Coverage: Shaping Narratives 

In today’s media landscape, effective press communication is key to shaping public perception and building credibility. As part of my studies in multilingual communication, I explored press and media relations through a hands-on module, where we worked with various journalistic text types and developed press materials for a fictive magazine.

  • Press Releases & Media Kits: Writing and structuring clear, engaging press releases that capture media attention and effectively communicate key messages.
  • Editorial Storytelling: Developing feature articles and background stories that position brands, projects, and initiatives in a meaningful and newsworthy way.
